The program

Twelve weeks. One agreement. Built by both of you.

Each week of Family Forward builds one section of your co-parenting agreement, with a coach in the room. Here is exactly what that looks like.

The plan beneath the promise

A parenting schedule is one decision. Family life across two homes is a whole system.

Select any part of the map to see what gets worked through. If you chose a pathway on the homepage, the sections most relevant to that concern are already illuminated.

Choose any section

See the decisions inside the agreement.

This is not a blank template handed to parents at the end. Each section is the result of a focused conversation, practical options, a decision, and written follow-through.

How a week works

Every session has the same calm shape.

Week 1 is a private intake call with each parent, one at a time. From Week 2 on, you meet together, and each joint session runs the same three moves.

Move 1

Frame the question

Lauren introduces the week's topic in plain language and makes the decision in front of you clear. No jargon and no long lecture.

Move 2

Walk the options together

Real options on the table instead of positions. Four options change a battle into a menu.

Move 3

Decide as parents

You two make the call. The coach holds the room, slows things down when they heat up, and names what is stuck.

Between sessions, the two of you draft that week's section, and Lauren reviews it before the next call. Nothing is left to memory or goodwill.

The toolkit

Tools designed for use beyond Week 12.

The program gives recurring conversations and decisions a named process, so both parents know what to reach for when a difficult moment arrives.

5PF

The Five Protective Factors

The organizing lens Lauren uses to keep each agreement section connected to children's experience, family relationships, and life across two homes.

PAUSE

For decisions you are stuck on

Five steps for moving from positions to options when a decision about school, health, schedules, or another shared issue is stuck.

REACH / SAFE

For messages between homes

A sender's standard and a receiver's standard that give both parents the same reference point for a practical exchange.

RESET

For the message that lands badly

A short pause between the first reaction and the response, with steps for returning to the practical issue.

Is this for you

Built for parents who want this to work.

Family Forward fits when

  • You separated or divorced within the last two years or so
  • At least one child under 16 is still at home
  • Both parents are willing to participate
  • You want a co-parenting partnership rather than a fight
  • You have no structure or roadmap to do this on your own

It is not the right tool when

  • You are in active litigation over parenting or custody
  • There is active abuse or coercive control in the relationship
  • One parent will not come to the table at all
  • What you actually need is legal advice or therapy

A note on safety. If there is abuse or coercive control in your relationship, this program is not the right tool, and joint sessions are not a safe place to negotiate. Please start with a family lawyer or a local family violence support service. If you or your children are in immediate danger, call 911.
